Wakulla Springs

Wayland, Tessa and I went to Wakulla Springs the other day. We went early in the day and stayed until around lunch time. The water was really cold, but it was fun to go swimming. Tessa got to practice swimming, as she will be starting swimming lessons soon.

CK Scavenger Hunt

On Saturday, I was in Cedar Key for the weekend and all of my usual group of friends were getting together, but we didn't want to do the same old thing, so Jolie came up with the idea of having a scavenger hunt. She called me up and I thought it was a great idea. She did all the planning, I just helped out on some of the objects and photo ops. It was SO MUCH FUN!! We will definitely be doing it again.

Heath surprised Jolie with one of our favorite Cedar Key bands: The Dock Street Band. We had a great group of people at the Island Hotel. We ate, we drank, we danced. Lots of fun!!!!!

My new zipcode. I now reside in Tallahassee, Florida. I have started school and am working for Mary Beth Tyson. She is a portrait and wedding photographer. Check out http://www.marybethtyson.com/. She wants to concentrate more on shooting photos so I am her assistant. My duties include burning CDs and designing wedding albums and whatever else she needs me to do. Everything is going great and it really is a good job for me to have since my major is graphic design. I use a lot of the same programs in school and at the studio and it's also fun. I'm there 15-20 hours a week and it works out with my full time school schedule.

Lately it has been really cold up here. Saturday morning it was 17 degrees. But today wasn't bad. My house is really cute and the rent is cheap. I am learning my way around the city and I really love it. I know a couple of people up here already and am meeting more mainly at school and through Mary Beth and Ryan.

New Year's Eve 2008

Once again New Year's Eve at Heath and Jolie's. We had a great time, we ate, we drank, and we were very merry. Heath built a fire on the porch with his snazzy fire pit that is safe for the porch. We roasted oysters and had lots of other good food too. It was a great time and it's always fun to ring in the new year with my favorite cousins.

At the end of December I stayed with Polly, Aaron, and Zoe to help paint Zoe's bedroom. Polly was working on the baby's (Sadie Reese) room and she also helped Zoe and I work on Zoe's room. We did one wall as an underwater scene and I think it turned out pretty fantastic. Zoe was really happy with it and it was fun to be with them for a few days before the new year.

Rebekah's Lingere Shower

A couple weeks ago, we had a lingere shower for Rebekah, my roommate, at Tappas and Tinis in Gainesville. Rebekah is getting married in December and Jenny (another girl from work) and I threw Rebekah this great shower. She got lots of gorgeous things and we all had a great time.

Happy Halloween!!

The lovely town of Chiefland, FL likes to do things a little different. They have trick or treat on a Saturday no matter what, so this year we had trick or treat on Saturday the 25th. As always I went to Polly's aunt and uncle's house for some pumpkin carving, good food, scary decorations and fun. I was Cleopatra this year, Zoe was Medusa and Polly was a Devil. Ms. Mary dressed up too. Polly's cousin, Lanie and her children were there too. Aaron was a cowboy/sheriff and little Layla was a pumpkin. We all had a great time.

Couples Weekend in Orlando!

Polly and Aaron didn't really want to have Bachelor and Bachelorette parties so a group of us went to Orlando co-ed style and had a blast!!! We went to Pleasure Island on Friday night and then Bahama Breeze and Howl at the Moon on Saturday. Howl at the Moon is a piano bar and was sooooooo much fun!

Gini Lynn's Wedding

Saturday, May 3rd, in Cedar Key Gini Lynn got married at her Grandparents home. It was such a beautiful wedding. Everything was gorgeous. We all had such a good time and enjoyed sharing this wonderful day with Gini Lynn and Greg.

GREEK PARTY!!

After Halloween of last year, Polly and I decided that dressing up for a couple of parties wasn't enough, so we decided to have a fancy dress (as the British call it) or costume party in February. The theme was Greek gods and goddesses or mythological creatures. We had a blast!!! Everyone dressed up and really made a great effort. We had such a great time with everyone that we are doing it again with a brand new theme next year.
